Marloes beach - Skomer Island - Marloes Mere - Musslewick - Dale - St Brides Bay
Goose Cottage is a lovely self contained holiday cottage - only a 10-15 minute walk to the magnificent Marloes and Musslewick beaches, Skomer Island boat trips and the wonderful Pembrokeshire coastal path. Originally a fisherman's cottage now refurbished there are two bedrooms; one double, one twin plus an optional gallery bedroom. There is a large sitting room with a wood burning stove, a large breakfast/dining room, well equipped kitchen, family bathroom and gallery/balcony with sea views.
Goose Cottage is situated within a large private walled garden surrounded by open fields. It has its own driveway with ample space for parking. Central heating, wood burning stove, double glazing, comfortable beds, relaxing sofas, large oak refectory table make it an enjoyable and easy place to stay. There is a large balcony to the rear with views over St Brides Bay. Electricity, heating, TV and cleaning included in the price. The large garden is ideal for games, outdoor relaxation and BBQ's. There is 4G mobile signal for hotspot wifi.
The Cottage is available for a minimum booking of weekly periods and can accommodate 1 - 5 people, commencing every Saturday with arrival from 3pm and departure by 10am the following Saturday. Only well behaved dogs are welcome (max. 2 with permission). Please see 2024 and 2025 calendar below for availability and rates.
Goose Cottage is the perfect place to stay if you enjoy beach holidays, walking, bird watching, boat trips, sailing, canoeing, fishing, surfing and just the opportunity to get away from it all and relax. A great place to be any time of the year!
Located inside the National park, adjacent to National Trust property (see NT map) and close to the Skomer Island marine conservation zone, Goose Cottage is found in a very special protected area of West Wales and the British Isles. I recommend having a look at the National Trust website for more information https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/marloes-sands-and-mere
So many great places to mention and things to do - here are just a few! Nearby; bird watching at Marloes Mere; boating, paddle-boarding and sailing at Dale; Skomer Island boat trips (book online) to see the colonies of Puffins, Razorbills, Guillimots and Shearwaters; watching the Seals, Dolphins, Porpoise and diving Gannets from Wooltack point. Further afield visit St David's Cathedral and Bishops Palace, historic Pembroke and Manobier Castles. Surfing at Marloes, Newgale and Whitesands. The Pembrokeshire Coastal path - some fantastic short walks from the cottage and longer walks to explore the spectacular seascape, varied geology, wildlife, flora and fauna.
The Runwayskiln Café is excellent and only a short walk. The Griffin and Cocco's in Dale, St Brides Inn Littlehaven and the Lobster Pot Inn, Marloes, are some of the many places to eat out. The Puffin Shuttle and other local bus services are a great way to get around and combine with your coastal path walking. Haverfordwest and Milford Haven are the nearest market towns with all the usual amenities, shops and services about 20 minutes drive away.
